Borussia Dortmund’s Egyptian international Mohammed Zidan disclosed he has been contacted by Valencia to discuss a move.
Zidan, whose name bears an uncanny resemblance to that of a certain French superstar, has shown the potential to live up to his namesake.
He produced some excellent displays at the Confederations Cup in South Africa, where he netted a brace against Brazil, and led Egypt to an upset over Italy.
Zidan also told Egyptian TV channel Modern Sports that Valencia's representatives contacted his agent, but that he is still considering his options for the future.
The striker's agent is apparently in Spain discussing the offer. Zidan has played for Dortmund and Hamburg in the Bundesliga, but will no doubt be interested in playing on a bigger stage.
The 27 year old has also been linked with Premier League side Blackburn Rovers, but it now appears as though he could be moving to Spain.
