Reports in England claim that Manchester City have struck a £15 million deal with Arsenal for defender Kolo Toure.
The Blues had been chasing John Terry but the Chelsea and England skipper rejected their overtures this week - announcing that he would remain at Chelsea.
Thus, Mark Hughes has moved swiftly for Toure, whose place at Ashburton Grove has been in doubt ever since his well-documented spat with William Gallas last season and the recent arrival of central defender Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax.
According to The Daily Mail a fee of around £15 million has been agreed between the clubs with the Ivorian international expected to pick up wages of £120,000 per week - twice what he has been earning at the Emirates.
City, who are still looking to land Everton's Joleon Lescott or West Ham United's Matthew Upson, are expected to officially present the 28-year-old later this week.
