Real Madrid legend, Alfredo Di Stefano, wants his club not just to win titles but also win beautifully.

Di Stefano urged new manager, Manuel Pellegrini to play the sort of attacking football that Madrid fans have always craved for in the upcoming season.

He told Argentine newspaper, Ole, "At Real Madrid, the people are not interested in winning without playing well. They must not be selfish, they must play for the people, because people are desperate to see their favourite player make or score a goal,"

The Madrid legend also gave his take on who he thinks is the best Argentine player ever.

"The standard of football is better today,

"It is a football team. Without good colleagues alongside you, where will you be?

"[Lionel] Messi is strong, powerful and plays very well, but without his companions, he would not get anywhere."

Madrid only managed a 1-1 draw against Al-Ittihad Jeddah on Sunday in an exhibition match.
