Going absolutely crazy for Ribs

Bayern Munich have said to Alex Ferguson he must put in a ‘crazy’ offer to sign Franck Ribery.

Bayern have placed Ribery's value at £90million, who is a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.

Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness said: "We would only talk on very strict conditions - and that would be if they were prepared to do crazy things."

Sir Alex Ferguson has been interested in the 26-year-old for years and he is rumoured to be in the market after Ronaldo's £80m sale to Real Madrid.

In a further twist in this transfer tale, Los Blancos are now the favourites to land Ribery whose agent, Alain Migliaccio, also represents former Bernabeu hero Zinedine Zidane.

The football icon is now employed as Real president Florentino Perez's right-hand man and was seen in Munich earlier this week.
