Luca Toni to Barcelona!

Luca Toni is considering an offer from Barcelona after Mario Gomez’s arrival could spell the end for the Italian at Bayern.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Pep Guardiola, who teamed up with Toni at Brescia, has called on the veteran striker in the last week to gauge his interest in playing for the Spanish champions.

La Blaugrana are reportedly in talks to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Nou Camp but the move has stalled due to Samuel Eto'o insistence on staying with the European champions.

Toni was signed by Bayen from Fiorentina in 2007 and was an instant hit, winning the golden boot in the Bundesliga with 24 goals in his debut campaign.

However, he has failed to follow up that magical season in his sophomore campaign, and a seat on the bench behind Gomez and Miroslav Klose could push the Italian striker to Catalonia.
