Juve target Acquafresca
Italy u-21 striker Robert Acquafresca’s agent claims Juventus are the latest club to be interested in the highly-rated youngster.
The Old Lady is now in pole position to secure the services of the former Cagliari player but his capture could come at a high price, with Juve defender Domenico Criscito and up to £4 million apparently going the other way as part of the deal.
Criscito is currently co-owned by Juve and Genoa but Genoa president Enrico Preziosi would like to sign the defender on a permanent basis and is trying to obtain his services as part of an exchange for Acquafresca.
"Juventus are a new entry in the negotiations and it is clear they want Robert but under certain conditions," said the player's agent, Paolo Fabbri.
"My client is from Turin so he would fancy it. However, Genoa want Criscito and Juve need to sell David Trezeguet first."
Regarding the Frenchman, international agent Antonio Caliento claimed Real Madrid are after him and his market value would be around £15m.
If Juve were to sell him then they will have the funds needed to invest in Genoa's Acquafresca while also holding on to Criscito, a defender who is said to be part of new coach Ciro Ferrara's plans in Turin.
