Zlatan Ibrahimovic Will Leave Inter For Chelsea - Agent

Over the past few days, speculation has been swaying back and forth regarding Maicon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future at Inter, with a whole cluster of clubs across Europe, from Real Madrid to Barcelona to Chelsea, frantically chasing after their signatures.

Inter president Massimo Moratti appears to have grown weary of all the head-spinining rumours and he looks resigned to losing his two star players.

"As a fan, of course I want to see them stay but as the president, with the book balances to keep in mind, I have to say that if they wish to go, then they can go," he told Il Giornale.

When he was asked to rate the chances of both Ibra and Maicon remaining in the Nerazzurri colours next season, he replied, "50 per cent chance. If anybody wants to sign them, they know the price."

Moratti then went on to confirm reports that Inter director Marco Branca had travelled to the Spanish capital to meet with Real Madrid chiefs Florentino Perez and Jorge Valdano.

"Branca’s trip to Madrid was determined long ago and the reason was to talk about Maicon," he revealed.

"But fortunately, Florentino is barely interested in defenders."

Finally, Moratti reiterated that he did not recently fly out to Barcelona to close a swap deal with Blaugrana president Joan Laporta.

He said, "I went to see him because we are old friends and I wanted to know if it was true that he was interested in Ibrahimovic.

"He said that he was not certain, and I didn’t not ask him about [Samuel] Eto’o."
