Juve want Grosso!

Juventus have made contact with Olympique Lyonnais with the intention of signing left-back Fabio Grosso, according to Tuttosport.

Grosso now seems in pole position to come in and fill the left-sided position at the Stadio Olimpico. The player's agent, Giuseppe Bozzo, is scheduled to meet with Lyon directors later this week in order to work out a deal between the French club and the Italians.

It is suggested Juve will be able to land Grosso for around €2 million and they are set to match his €2.5m-per-year wages. Voices claim Juve chiefs will travel to Lyon in order to present their bid to the French side. OL paid around €5m for the stopper from Inter in 2007, but he is likely to be sold for less than half that amount.

Reports in France claim the Ligue 1 side are looking at Brazilian left-back Andre Santos, and this had fuelled speculation that Grosso faces an exit.

Also, reports suggest Lyon are keen on winger Mauro Camoranesi and it is said the Italians may seek to insert him into the deal. In this case, les Gones would have to give Juventus cash plus Grosso to complete a move.
