FC Inter Milan v AC Milan - Serie A

Milan reject mammoth Pato bid

AC Milan vice-president Andriano Galliani claims the club have rejected a massive bid for Alexandre Pato from an unnamed club.

Although Galliani has refused to name the club which made the bid, Chelsea are suspected to be behind the offer, having been strongly linked with the Brazilian.

Pato himself has also recently stated that he would join an English club if the offer came about, a comment which has fueled speculation about the striker's future.

Milan appear to be standing in the way of any move though, having already lost playmaker Kaka to Real Madrid.

Certainly, if Pato were to move the Rossoneri would be losing as key player, with the Brazilian having scored 24 times in his 54 games with the club.

Speaking on the issue, Galliani was tight lipped, stating: "Milan this year have resisted a monumental offer for Pato."

"But I will not say which club made the offer."
