Inter Milan's Maicon has called for his club to sign compatriot Felipe Melo.
Transfer rumours are abound for the tough central midfielder, after a solid season for Fiorentina last time out.
Melo who is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup with Brazil has been one of the most talked about midfielders in the Italian league and a big money transfer is not far away.
Clubs that have been frequently linked with the Fiorentina talent include Real Madrid and Arsenal. The Brazilian, it seems, has another club in mind.
In an interview Studio Sport, Inter star Maicon revealed that ‘Mezo' had asked whether he could come to the Nerazzuri.
To which Maicon replied: "I answered that a player like him would certainly be a starter in our team".
The Fiorentina midfielder has made twenty-nine appearances and scored two goals since transferring to the Italian side in 2008.
