Eboue will sit around and wait

Emmanuel Eboue of Arsenal looks to Referee Martin Atkinson just before he is shown the yellow card during the FA Cup 4th Round match sponsored by E.on between Cardiff City and Arsenal at Ninian Park on January 25, 2009 in Cardiff, Wales. Emmanuel Eboue's agent believes the Arsenal defender will remain in London unless an offer from a big club comes in.

Eboue revealed on Tuesday that he has grown frustrated by his failure to hold down a regular starting spot in Arsene Wenger's team last season and could head for the exit in search of better opportunities.

Reports in Italy suggest Fiorentina and Roma are preparing bids for the Ivory Coast international, while it could also reignite Inter Milan's interest as the Nerazzurri have long been linked with the 26-year-old.

However, Franjo Vranjkovic believes his client could be prepared to sign a new deal at the Gunners.

"Arsenal offered us a contract extension, proposing to us a four-year deal," he told Calciomercato.it. "Emmanuel could free himself soon as at zero cost, but Wenger's offers is very good.

"The player likes the way Arsenal plays.

"I honestly think that Fiorentina and Roma aren't at Eboue's level. The two clubs are not among the top ones in Italy, that's the reality of it. But if any of the Milan clubs or Juventus come after him, that could change things.

"Inter have never contacted us but if they should call us we would be in Italy without any problems. But no one has called me."

Eboue moved to Arsenal from Beveren in January 2005 and became a first-team regular in the second half of the following season.

However, inconsistent form has seen him overtaken by Bacary Sagna and Theo Walcott in the pecking order.
