Tevez: Show me the money!

Manchester United v Manchester City - Premier LeagueCarlos Tevez has told Manchester United: Pay me the most at Old Trafford, or I’ll move to one of your rivals.

Man United have tabled the required £26million to retain Tevez's services on a permanent basis.

But the Red Devils still have to match the weekly wages of £110,000 a week that other United stars Rio Ferdinand and Dimitar Berbatov pocket.

The 25-year-old has been on £95,000 a week since joining Man United but his loan stint finishes at the end of the month.

Tevez is currently on holiday in Buenos Aires where he has entertained a personal call from new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The British press has spilled the beans on the contents of that particular phone call and how the Argentine striker was impressed with Ancelotti's personal touch.

Manchester City are also interested in signing Tevez as Mark Hughes tries to assemble a squad capable of challenging for top honours.

City's move has thrown United's world upside down, but the Red Devils could have avoided this mess had they settled the deal months ago.

Tevez was infuriated with Man United when they decided to delay plans to sign him last season. Now the hitman and his agent, Kia Joorabchian, are happy to keep the Red Devils waiting on their choice.
