Real Madrid are pondering a cash plus player bid for Internazionale defender Maicon.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Madrid are prepared to throw in 20 million euros along with Dutch international, Wesley Sneijder to lure Maicon to the Bernabau.
Inter boss Jose Mourinho is known to be an admirer of Sneijder's playmaking abilities and a move could very well come true with the midfielder's first team opportunities seemingly limited with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.
Maicon could also be tempted to leave Italy after recent comments suggested that the Brazilian feels undervalued at the San Siro.
With Florentino Perez's aggressive transfer mindset, no transfer news can be brushed off lightly until the transfer window closes.
