Real Madrid have tabled a bid of €25 million and Alvaro Negredo in an attempt to purchase David Villa from Valencia.
Madrid have been talking to Villa representatives, according to Chelsea source Juan Cruz Sol, and Florentino Perez is trying to iron out the details as soon as possible.
AS have reported that Los Blancos have table a player-plus-cash deal for Villa, and are confident that Valencia will accept.
Manule Llorente, the new president of Los Che knows that with the current financial situation at the club, the sale of David Villa is inevitable.
Reports from Spain indicate that Villa's agent was in talks with Madrid officials all day and a deal could be finalised as soon as Sunday evening.
Sources also estimate the deal to be worth approximately €43 million with Negredo valued at €18 million of that sum.
Villa is now away with the Spanish senior squad in South Africa for the Confederations Cup but has been in regular contact with his agent to oversee the progress of the deal.
